Well... only David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, and Alex Van Halen. Wolfgang is playing the bass (Eddie's son).

I'm not a mega fan of their music
But their shows are worth going to, IMO

that's funny considering most great bands today can name off many bands as their influence...and I guarantee you, Van Halen, will be one of them.

Eddie Van Halen CHANGED the way people even looked at guitars after they came onto the scene.

doesn't make his music good.  Eddies claim to fame is being able to play a zillion notes in a bar.  I don't think that's good music, just good technical skill.  I'd much rather listen to someone play 4 notes absolutely perfectly with all their soul into, then listen to someone go up and down the fretboard at 90 MPH.

Eddie just discovered new sounds in playing the guitar.

Tapping is something he popularized, even if some blues guitar player were doing it before him

He brought the speed guitar era, IMO

Randy Rhoads once said that Van Halen influenced him the most in guitar playing

He brought guitar companies like Charvel, Kramer to build his guitars.

From Charvel came Jackson Guitars

He also helped popularize flanger effects
