something to think about, perhaps ponder, perhaps.

time is a concept, but it doesn't not exist. Does time stop at any point? Is time quantum? TIme has never started, never stopped, always begun and always ended. How is this so? Well consider that existence always is, has been and will be. TIme does not stop when one is asleep, experience continues when one is awake, asleep, tripping, day dreaming, fucking, crying, dead, alive - so why do we all usually grasp so hard to time?

I use time as a convenient reference point to help me hook up with my boys to get drunk. Plus when you're in jail, time means a lot. You might as well just ask why we grasp so hard to space, or matter, or our own identities.

Why do we grasp so hard to matter, space, selves? [Re: the universe]

Why do we grasp onto things we desire as permanent? I don't think it can be generalized..so for me :

i grasp on to things and try to make them permanent when i fear that the experience will not be repeated, and thusly I will not feel as I do at that time. BUt words of wisdom intervene "this too shall pass". THat seems to be universal sage advice, applied to christian doctrine, hell and heaven would be transient experiences..as well as the "rule" of god. blah, its all personal and doesn't really apply to everyone.
