Are you using a blue light that is actually the color blue, or is it a light that emits a large amount of light in the blue spectrum (like those used in aquariums)?

If you answered in the affirmative to the first option, then I can't help you in your second question.

If you answered in the affirmative to the second option, then...... I turn mine on for about 12 hours a day, unless the grow chamber gets too hot.

Someone is being way too poetic here.
When I have the blues, my mushrooms get me up again.
Do mushrooms thrive better in blue moonlight than in yellow sunlight?

I don't know about moonlight, but they respond best (according to Stamets etc.) to blue light (wavelengths of around 400 or so nanometers).

my computer went down so i wasnt able to thank you guys for the help.thanks now given.i was refering to a blue incadesent light,but i decided to switch to a low watt
cool tone blue spectrum flouresent.and a light cycle of 10 hrs on,14 hrs off.i've had a little trouble with the temp. on this particular terrium.it was running at about 80
degrees.but during the light cycle i put the airtight container(execpt for the hepa filter
intake)that contains the airpump on this monster ice pack/block that doesnt drip or leak.and i put ice cubes made from spring water and hydrogen peroxide(10/2ratio)in the bubbler.it drops the temp down to 76,but afterwards it climbs back up.any suggestions on keeping the temp down on an indoor chamber
60qt size tuppawere?
