Extremely poor mans terranium

This was the worst casing in the world, extremely unproductive.
It was thrown out ........ well, it was going to be thrown out. Actually, it was put in a plastic bag and left in the garden ready to be added to the compost.




There are another 10 or so pins on the underside too.

So there you have it, the extremely poor mans terranium.
Just pop your cakes or casings in a plastic bag, don't mist, don't provide air exchange, just leave it to be.

Thtas funny man.

I just had some left over manure and straw that I pasturized. I took a 12-pack Corona case and lined it with a plastic bag. Threw it in there with a pint of colonized birdseed. Gonna see what happends. Im going to mist and give it air exchnage tho, SO im guessing it iwll work out....

Why neglect your kids??/
They`ll be nicer to you if you care for them.
Spiritualy speaking , neglecting your mushrooms will inturn not make the batch as precious to you in the long run.
You should respect and love everything about the mushroom.
Be it`s friend and it will be yours.

Did you read the first post, or was this just a general statement?
I never do neglect teks The shroom is my friend, and it gets treated with respect. This was a casing that was thrown out, but fruited in a loosely tied plastic bag

I always do that with casings... throw em in a garbage bag then just leave.... it works fine and you dont need to care about some stupid plastic box. You can get good yeilds that way... and there's nothing like seeing some freaky monster shroom pitching a tent.

Nothing like a biogenetically created five legged cow.
They way you like your meat is the way you like your shrooms obviously.
I`m a vegetarian so I don`t like bionic cows, I care for my mushrooms and they return the favour 10 fold.
