i can learn without an amp can't i?  i'm getting one soon.  my first stadium concert isn't till monday so i think i'm set

It's easy, just press your ear against the body of the guitar as you tune it.

Tune it regularly. There really is no difference, without the amp it may be slightly harder to hear, just find somewhere quiet.

all you need is a tuner for like $10....and amp has nothing to do with tuning a guitar, the tuner will hear it.
