This is absolutely amazing! You may have already seen this video as i think its quite popular now but i was gobsmacked when i first saw this japanese guy rockin out in his bedroom...

Really I wasnt that impressed. I can personally play Canon in D on a classical guitar. Compared to someone who is decent at classical guitar, and not just making an unoriginal 80's solo on an electric, hes really not that great. Im not implying Im that great at classical guitar however.

Anywho... I thought it was pretty awesome. I was glad it was a video because a sound file alone is not nearly as impressive as watching someone play. Makes me look at my guitar collecting dust in the corner and I sigh.

thats nuts, eastern people are crazy. they can pick up anything and they just can work it out until there masters at it. i don't have the pashents do anything like that.

I found out a bit more about him, he's called JerryC and he's actually from Taiwan not Japanese.

Theres a few more (much better quality) videos of him at http://www.jerryc.tw for those of you who sprayed their shorts like i did! I recommend "Rock On" its pretty hardcore!

But he is so young. He still has way time to advance and hes already good.

Sorry I thought it sounded like crap.

While I definitely agree that it takes a lot of time and patience to develop the technical skill he has, that doesn't make his music any better. I mean, would you listen to that on your time? None of his licks were creative or original or sincere. And the synth background he was playing over, yuck. The dude has bad taste.

Sorry to be so negative, I am just a really harsh critic when it comes to music!  :tongue:
