Glassblowing shops are expensive to set up : /
    #8514849 -

I have been taking classes since last december from a glassblower. I have made alot of progress for the little time i have actually been behind the torch, but i love it and crave to do more. I built my own glassblowing worktable, this thing is sweet as all hell. I have my torch, my gas lines, and my propaine tanks, but i still need a Kiln and a Oxegen tank. It makes me so mad to know that the only thing holding me back at this point is about $1000 bucks.

My teacher said i could rent his shop out, but to be honest i like working alone, and just want to be on my own. I started working with glass tube the last couple classes, it was hard but it was so amazing to have the pendant done at the end. I have never shattered, broke, smashed, or ruined 1 peice i have ever worked on. I know on my own i will undoubtedly screw up alot, but thats how i will get good. I have the fundamentals down flat, i just need to screw up on my own to learn from my own mistakes instead of being coached the whole time. If i jack up a shit load of things in the beggining im cool with that.

I just needed to vent a little. <3 LOC

That's awesome. Glass blowing is something that has always interested me.
Good luck with getting it all set up!
