Calling glassblowers over to Aisle B9
    #11574056 -

I . . . am not a glassblower what-so-ever, but I have a predicament. My glass bong broke. It was one of those zob minis seen here . . .

***This isn't actually my bong, I found it on google images, page 2 if you type in "zob mini" so ya***

It is the best piece I've owned, not saying I can't do better. Anyway, I broke the glass base a little while ago. The bad side . . . well I fucking broke it. The good side, I didn't actually break the tube so I can still use it! But I really wanted to get it fixed so I took it to my local headshop where they send it out to get fixed. I came back a couple weeks later and apparently the guy who fixes the pieces declared mine "unfix-able". I'm no glass blower, but couldn't you fix that somehow? Is it possible? It just seems odd that it could just be "unfix-able".

I had something similar happen once.  I got a machinist to cut off the rest of the broken base so that only the tube was left.  Then I made a crude wooden base and glued it to the bottom of the tube.  It's a little heavier now, but it gets the job done!

Just imagine that the base is gone with maybe a 1/4" of glass around the bottom, not much at all. I took it over there a couple weeks ago and they left it at the shop (where the guy said it couldn't be fixed). I'm getting it back tomorrow.
