Vaporizer from a filtration flask?

I was sitting here in my chair puffing on my pipe (smoking an english blend tobacco if I remember right), and for whatever damned reason I started thinking of vaporizers, and how light-bulb or similar ghetto-improv ones make it hard to control temperature because of the very thin glass.



Well, vacuum filtration flasks have thicker glass on them, and so you'd think they'd keep a more consistent, even temperature. They also have two openings to them... so one can't help but think they'd prove to be a good DIY vaporizer. Slap some heat-resilient tubing on the vacuum line flange to use as a mouthpiece, cork it with a small hole and a tiny length of glass tubing as an inlet, and hold the base over a mild source of heat to vaporize the contents.

Sure it might just be a waste of time, but it sounds a fun way to kill some time giving it a try.

Am I an idiot, or would this be pretty cool? :naughty:

If all else fails, it'd at least be easy enough to convert it to a pocket-sized lab-bong instead :lol:

Feasible, sure

Practical, meh

Light bulbs are cheaper, and quite replaceable. A few glass tubes and some vynal tape can make a light bulb far superior.
