Vaporizer Discussion and Help

Okay, so I got a Vapir One 5.0 a handful of days ago, but I'm having some trouble choosing a correct temperature. So lets lay down some basics-
THC (or various cannabinoids) is released at temperatures of 300-350*f
A lighter flame burns at what...1400*f?
I've been setting my vaporizer on 177*C which is equivilent to roughly 350*f. Is 350*f a good temperature? I still seem to achieve more effects by smoking, rather than using my vaporizer, so I figured I must have my temperature wrong because from what I have gathered, vaporizing is not only healthier, but more productive in the release of THC and cannabinoids compared to smoking?
If anyone can give me a hand that would be great. I really like using my vape, and vaporization compared to smoking, but I wish I could achieve better effects. Thanks.

Are you using up all the weed? Many new vape owners only run through once or twice, and assume the weed is done. It's not.
You can reuse the spent herbs quite a few times to get it all.

Wow, by the sounds of it I have mine set terribly low. The reason I didn't turn it up higher than 350*ish, is because I was under the impression that THC (or cannabinoids) were destroyed after like 356*?
So for a vaporizer temperature setting, would you all agree that I should set mine at 400-450*?
Thanks

Wow, I guess I'll set mine at 190 and see how that works, that seems to be a good compromise.

Keep in mind that although your vape might read that temperature it is more of a setting than a temperature probe. Think less about the specific temperature you are setting it at and more of finding what setting produces the best vapors.

experiment with it
on my volcano, sometimes i rip a fresh bowl on lvl9, it kills the bud but its super potent
or i can do 3 bags on lvl5
its all preference but higher temps get me much higher IME (lvl9 fucks me up)

Okay, one last question for you guys:
So we've decided that the prefferred temperature of most vaporizers is above the 350*f mark...However, when you are baking weed in an oven (after making butter/oil), it is essential to not cook the brownies or whatever above 350*f, because it will destroy all the THC and thus leaving you with impotent brownies.
So why is it okay to exceed the 350* mark when vaporizing, yet not when baking? ..Any thoughts?

my friend has a vapir one.
what we do is, start it at 250. after a few minutes youll see the vapor come pouring out of the tube. up the temp by 25-40 degrees every 4-5 minutes or so(or whenever the stream of vapor gets weak), the highest we'll take it up to is 375-400, once u reach that temp and no more vape is coming out, you can consider it done.

The vaporization point of THC is 390F Start at low temps and work your way up until it tastes like popcorn Keep in mind, cannabinoids other than THC volatize at higher temps
Now for baking:
When you cook THC you are not vaporizing it and you definitely do not want to.
What you are doing is decarboxylating a COOH molecular group on the THC molecule, which enables the molecule to latch onto fats (butter, etc) and then hitch a ride into your blood stream (if THC is carboxylated and you eat it, it can't get into your blood).
THC is decarboxylated around 150F according to most sources. So keep it around 200 or something but definitely not 390F because you'll vaporize THC and lose it.

Yes, I like mine. Immediatly after I bought it the fan got very loud, and has been that way ever since. If I hold my hand on the air-suction fan area firmly, the noise is less. I would send it back to get replaced, but if you use certain 'herbs' in your vaporizer, doesnt that void the warranty? Other than the noisy fan, it works great.
BTW, I have found that 175*C is a good temp. for it, then I crank it up to 190*C to finish it off.

5.5 is best. 6.5 is MAX for budz.
Higher than that and you create smoke, which is a pretty big waste of $500.
