Dead collection on my doorstep
    #8477643 -

I opened my front door this morning, and 7 shoeboxes full of Grateful Dead soundboard tapes were stacked on my porch. 2 of the boxes are JGB. A note said "I hope you enjoy these tapes as much as I did- I can't hold onto them anymore." The note didn't have a name so I have no idea who left these for me. I only know 1 person here in town who did Dead tour and he was over here a couple hours ago so I have absolutely no idea who could have left these for me. I'm pretty stoked!

Ha ha, that's awesome! Yeah I did need it, I was just thinking the another day I need some more Dead. Of course I stream the archive but my car has a tape player so now I can bump Dead shows while I drive.

Theres some Hendrix and Zepplin in here to. Oh shit and heres a tape called "Drive Alive, Neal Cassidy Raps." My only tape player is in my car so I haven't listened to that yet.

The coolest part is that there is a copy of the only Dead show I saw with Jerry, which my Dad, who is a oldschool Deadhead, took me to.

Yeah, I do but not to many of them are into the Dead. I'm really wondering who left these. I'm sure I'll find out someday.

No, he lives in Santa Rosa now. He was in town a couple weeks ago but I know he's home now.

My friend's Fiance was a close friend to Jerry Garcia, he has a HUGE collection of Dead stuff and a few letters from Jerry, along with a few of Jerry's personal things, and of course, pictures of them together.

I never really liked the Grateful Dead that much...

Oh, and I share the same BDay as Jerry Garcia... Aug 1.

Of course, I was born 40 years later, in '82

Wow man, that is so awesome. I got about 22 hours of the Grateful Dead on my comp, but I still need a ton more. You are lucky my friend.

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.
