No, I didn't watch the whole thing I skipped to the end, but it was the same as the beginning. I imagine all six minutes was a bunch of silly Asians thinking they could break it, then be impressed when they couldn't.

I would like that gig, working in sales is fun when it comes to fairs and shows demos.

Yea, shows are fun. I've actually tried to break that shit and couldn't. It started to crack a little. With a sludge and perhaps a sharp object like a crowbar, I'd probably be able to get in after a long long time, but that's the name of the game, slow them down as much you can.

I sell mul-t locks .... well something of the sort for the company i work for. I am also able to pick your schlege (spelling) weiser or any other lock in under 2 minutes. Usually 1 minute. taking a blank key and making an imprint is also VERY VERY easy. the circular design (our brand) make the locks we sell impossible to pick and impossible to make a key from a blank.

Schalges and Weisers and such are easy picks. No doubt about it. That's my point.

Saying that sentence shows your lack of understanding of brands. There isn't a "something of the sort". It's either Mul-T-Lock or it's not. They have many patents and enforce them.

The Mul-T-Lock I speak of is virtually unpickable, yet theoritically possible. If your "circular design"(whatever that means, please explain) is made of pins and springs, it's hypothetically bumpable and pickable.

Did you watch any of the videos I posted?

Well actually it shows nothing of the sort. My company (Pop-A-Lock) sells Multi-locks ... that may be the name of the brand we sell ... we do not sell many of them so I am not 100% sure of the name brand.

Multi-lock and Mul-T-Lock are two very different companies. Check out all my videos and links

Here's one to get you started:

Thats the one we sell. We also sell another one that the key is a circle kinda like the keys that open soda machines only solid and longer. I will ask at work tomorrow.

Interesting.

Well if you have knowledge with it, you will know what a great product it is to work with.

What are the cuts like? Like how would they read on the id card?

Abloy Protec and Mul-T-Lock are by far the world leaders. The two top brands in my opinion.

I'm interested in this "circular key" you speak of. Is it just an ace key?

oooh speaking of which...

a couple weeks ago I picked my first ace key lock(the tubular key, 7 cuts/pins).  I picked two of them and won 50 bucks off my boss for it

I have never had to cut one. I am actually due to put one in in 3 days. I will have the master locksmith with me he is the one who will be training me on the install and cut. I will ask what it is called (the circular one) tomorrow. The boss told me I will have to have a special machine to make the cuts though.

Besides Medeco, you need a special machine to cut most high security keyways.

Usually this machine is purchased with your license to sell the product.

Mul-T-Lock keys, for example, are milled, not cut using a special machine that you can only get through them.

If it is indeed mul-t-lock, as him about the cool new 3 in 1 pins(allows the customer to rekey twice themselves).

Cool to meet a fellow person in the industry.

Yeah, definetely get back to me on this circular thing, I'm curious.

You know... The people i know who did the entire breaking and entering thing.... They did it with a sawsall and just cut through the side of the house / business during the day disguised as remodelers...

Great post though, I want a set of picks to learn a new skill with. =)

Even with the picks, it takes a ridiculous amount of patience, and dedication to learn. Ive been doing it for years, and I'm still pretty much a failure. Anything more than the most basic pin tumbler lock is completely beyond me.
