The official guide to leveling in Alanthia

Second this guide is a rough overview of where to level up to 30 or 40. If you choose to come to the game, I'll give you cool equipment and spell you up as you go. The next guide, the FUN STUFF. PK. How to kill other players and not be killed.



When you begin, you will be one room above a place called recall. Recall is a fixed point in the mud that you will goto whenever you type recall. You can go north, and look at the sign. Most of the rooms in newbie school have signs. Training is increasing your str, dex, con, wis, int. Practice is getting better at specific skills like sword, spells, bash, etc. You can only practice up to 65%. Practice your main weapon up, and continue north, then west, then 2n. Down is a blob, designed to teach you when to run. Just type wimpy, and dont bother going down there unless you're a dragon with breath. Go west and down, scan, you'll see enemies in all directions. DONOT attack the ACOLYTE, dumbass. Go attack one of the other 4. Kill those guys till you gain a level. then you can go down, and kill some of the mobs down there. After you level, you should recall, go u n e, and practice some new skills if you have them, go across the hall and train some stats.

You can venture outside and grab some cheap necklaces if you'd like. The stray dogs walking around town (midgaard) have them. If you're evil donot attack in the prescence of a townguard, they will assist the mob, and make short work of you. Be sure to con things before you attack. If they say "Death will thank you" take a hint. After you get the necklaces go back to newbie school and level their till level 6, at which point you'll notice you cant walk around anymore. Recall.

Food is located 2s w n. Look at your map. Ask questions.

There are some centaurs 2s 6e 4s 2e s 2e d 2e 2n... kill centaurs. They're a lil tough, but it should only be 2-3 kills a level for awhile. Once they give less than 150-100 XP, recall, go 2s 3w 2n e u. This is midgaard prison. Go north (the guard has the key). The east side is easier, the west side is harder. The area to the north is for 20+. Remember to use the con skill around here too. IF, you level past this area, you are on your way to a town called new thalos. It is 2s all east. Nomad merchants, alley cats, and skinny kids are easy pickings. Then town guards (not the huge masses, thats incredibly stupid!). Then dockworkers.
