rasmussen polls show no toxic environment for repugs...

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/business/taxes/65_oppose_increase_in_capital_gains_tax

what im inferring from these polls is that voters heavily support repugnican economics...ergo the repugs do not face a "toxic" political environment this year.. contrary to what the MSM would have us believe...and if bush were allowed to run for a 3rd term..he would clearly win.. even though the rasmussen poll only gives him a 34% approval rating...

IMAO..overall the MSM has bungled its reporting of the 2008 campaign...they have declared a presumptive democratic nominee when its still very much open.. and they have apparently misrepresented the mood of the voters as well...

OReilly is a pathological lier. People have taken him to court over false information and he gets off every time because its a mental sickness.

I love this whole dog and pony show... Fox news calling out NBC on taking orders from the top? What a fucking joke. They both do. I feel bad for all the people who can't look past this bullshit.

Yes voter do support Republican economics. Yet all of the mainstream Republican candidates were for BIG government and more taxes. Ron Paul was the only true conservative for less government and less taxes. The neoconservatives do not follow traditional republican economics at all.

Voters do indeed support Republican economic principles. Unfortunately, Republican Congresscritters don't. That's one of the major reasons Republicans no longer constitute a majority in Congress and are likely to be even more scarce after this year's election. It's not even beyond the realm of possibility that the Dems may end up with a filibuster-proof Senate (shudder).

at least we agree on that. Republican congressmen for a small govnerment are rare indeed.

But any democrate paying attention can't help but notice the dems doing nothing they promissed. We'll see how long the democratic memory is here pretty soon.

when repugs talk about "small government"..they mean reducing the role of govt to pinkterton thugs and the courts to rubber-stamp crews...king george has gone very far in this direction and continues to do so.. irregardless of the democratic congress...

How has Bush gone very far in the direction of reducing the role of got to pinkerton thugs and the courts to rubber stamp crews?

If anything, Clinton did more for the reduction in the discretion of the federal courts by signing AEDPA.
