Alaskan wilderness survival

Whos thought of doing something like this? Theres a show called "The Alaska Experiment" on Discovery channel, great show IMO thought about doing this a long time ago, and "Into The Wild" was severely lacking IMO.

Next showing is 2:00am EST after that it's on saturday tivo tivo your gonna miss it

ive been watching this show religiously, after i saw that guy shoot the mountain goat, i decided that i really want to do that. When i go camping it's never enough, i want to hunt and survive.

i've actrually been working on my wilderness survival so i can end up going to alaska eventually.

I really liked "Into the Wild" I fantasize about living such a life. (Of course I don't want it to end that way) But alas, I have small children and responsibilities I can't walk away from. I also dreamt last week that Dick and I were the hippie couple in that movie, that was a nice dream. I tried to go back to sleep and keep dreaming it. :smile:

Have you guys ever seen Survivorman, It is like Man vs. Wild but way more hardcore. Its a Canadian show on the Outdoor Life Network here in Canada, don't know if it is in the US. This Canadian guy goes into the wilderness an survives by himself while carry 100lbs of camera equipment to film himself, no crew. He goes places like Baffin Island in northern Canada and survives for a week, hes been all over Canada and the US, he is insane. Lives for a week with just a swiss army knife, a few chucks of food to start in some places. When he was on Baffin he obviously had to have a gun for safety reasons, but it was still ultra hardcore, he has to walk somewhere, set up his cameras go back and walk again to film himself, its nuts.
