Recently I was offered some shrooms, I was told the strand name but am not sure on it's genuinity. Psylocybe Fanaticus (P. Cubensis - var. "Amazonian").

PESA and the PF Amazonian strain are not the same thing. The PF strain is sometimes sold as Matias Romero.

That strain has been around a looong time. Apparently the spores do not originate from the Amazon but the mushrooms were big and nicknamed 'Amazonian'.

Yeah, IMHO the strain should just be called PF classic. Since it's really like no other.
