Use of h202 for Grain to Grain Transfers?

I was just searching posts about how to do open air grain to grain transfers and I saw something about putting a small amount of h202 into the jar receiving the colonized spawn.

I plan to go through every precaution of having a clean environment for the transfer so that won't be a concern..

So what are your thoughts on it's use?

For a quart jar:
Add 10 ml of 3% H2O2 after the grain has cooled down, shake well.

So the purpose in using h202 is to prevent contamination?

Really? I thought h202 only was only good if u had mycelium that was already infected does it really prevent contams?

as its "coats" the kernels with a protective layer possible mold spores that can settle on uncolonised kernels
if you open a jar will be grilled and therefor cannot contaminate your jar.

Personally, I've never used peroxide in conjunction with grains. Sterile technique works great.
