fixing a pair of headphones

so i have a pair of sony headphones, noise cancelling kind, they were only 40 bucks, but i only got to use them a couple of times and i'd like to fix them if possible. here's what happened.

i was snowboarding and when i went to get off the lift, the cord was somehow stuck underneath me or something. anyway, the cord came out from the jack that plugs into the ipod/whatever.

this is what got disconnected from the cord:


is there a way i can reattach it?

There is probably 3 wires inside you just gotta connect them back again the right way.

i stripped part of the wire, and there's a red, copper, and silverish wire. does it matter which way i get them in there?

i gave up and smashed the headphones by throwing them as hard as i could against a wall. they disintegrated. i feel better now

yeah i don't think i could have fixed them anyways. all the google searches i did turned up for fixing an mp3 player's jack, not reconnecting the jack to the cord. :psycrankey:

what u do is take the old pair and put them in the package of a brand new pair same model that u buy
take them back and say u dont like them and get your $ back
