no i know that, everyone knows that it will never go away, but a good way to curb meth and crack use would be to mandate rehab for users and keep penalties very high for manufacturers and dealers.

meth and crack no. i really cant explain why i feel those two are the worst, but they are in my eyes and i dont feel they should be decriminalized, at least not for the dealers and the ones making it. now addicts yes, they dont deserve the harsh punishment they get now.

If there are going to be laws against personal possession rehab is the preferred sentence I'd like to see in place.

Although, it's not uncommon for crack users to enter treatment many times and still stay users (or abusers).

IMO what's the point, I know, I've seen 2 friends get addicted to crack and go to complete shit, it sucks, but if you can't stop criminals from selling it, and you can't stop the users from using it, then what?


well thats fine by me, if they want to keep going through rahab and getting back into the shit, then noone can stop them, but i would rather see their money wasted on rehab trying to make them better than going to the government.

the addicts. just like now, only they wouldnt be paying the state ridiculous amounts on top of the rehab, i say 1st offense you have mandatory 2 months rehab, 2nd offense 4 months, and third offense 6 months, and if you reach a 4th time, then you are put in 6 months inpatient/halfway house rehab. the only time you can leave is for work.

if he cant pay for it then he could have the option of entering a halfway house and having them help him find a job, obviously they could foot the bill until he can pay, but that money should come directly from money made from the dealers and manufacturers. i dont think the government should be pocketing that money.
