i need help finding a thread

i don't remember what forum it was in, but someone mentioned camping in a park in NY with his friend and hearing a terrible sound.

i wanted to talk to him. does anyone remember that thread? and can point me to it?

i don't think it was in MP, but i figure you guys would remember.

edit: i don't know why, but something about that story scares me very badly. i'm pretty afraid of being caught alone and having something bizarre happening to me.

i've been reading about bigfoot experiences all night, and several of them are very similar to that guy's experience. i figured i'd link him here and see what he thought.

:lol: I love wandering off and sleeping alone when I go camping with friends, partly because of the fear element.

Most bigfoot stories are of noises like these, I think it's out there, the Panda Bear was thought to be a myth for a long time...

:lol: The Panda Bear was proven to be real in 1869 with a skin. It took western hunters 50 YEARS to hunt one down knowing they were out there.
And the Panda is a slow, dumb, day time animal. Imagine how hard it would be to catch a fast, smart, nocturnal primate that smells you coming.

What are the undisputed facts about the bigfoot / sasquatch mystery?

It's a fact that for more than 400 years people have reported seeing large, hair-covered, man-like animals in the wilderness areas of North America.

To many, these facts, taken together, suggest the presence of an animal, probably a primate, that exists today in very low population densities. If true, this species, having likely evolved alongside humans, became astonishingly adept at avoiding human contact through a process of natural selection.

To others, these same facts point to a cultural phenomenon kept alive today through a combination of the misidentification of known animals, wishful thinking, and the deliberate fabrication of evidence.

bfro seems really fucking cool, except for charging 300 dollars for a no expenses included camping trip where you have to bring all your own gear...
