Using Hydrated lime without a PH meter???
    #8221150 -

I Will be making a casing mix tonight but still have been able to get a ph meter.
I will be following the 50/50+ tek by Ryche Hawk's.

His recipe calls for 1.2 cups of hydrated lime.
I bought my lime from Mycosupply, by the way.
What would be a safe amount to use to get the PH were it should be without risking my whole project.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

You know you can get a small garden soil ph meter for pretty cheap. I got one for $7 when i was getting gypsum and WBS the other day. Just something to think about.

i believe it is about 4% total volume of your casing as opposed to 10% with lime. So half would be almost right slightly left. But I'm not absolutely sure so use the search function if you'd like.
