as for black people. shut the fuck up. theyre not perfect and neither are you. dont act high and mighty just because your race successfully dominated several others. sure slavery had been a part of human history for thousands of years but white people took it to a despicable extreme. at least in greek society a slave could become free after a certain amount of time and even had his own rights while still indentured. they were treated far better before the incredulously horrible white people (by the way im %100 white myself) came around.

i think this is a big problem right now in mainland Europe, there are a lot of ethnic groups living in say for example France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany where people immigrated to find better opportunities. of course, these better opportunities meant that they would fill in job positions that no body wanted to fill (domestic help, labour jobs) and now, these ethnic groups are starting to feel degraded and are fighting back due to oppression .
now, i live in a country in europe quite known for its harsh immigration policies...essentially, in order to move here, you have to show proof of higher education and basically if you're not working for a large corporation in the country or have marital ties to a person of this country you're shit out of luck. it often takes 6-9 months for those of us who have legally immigrated here to just get our residency permit. it takes that long because the government is trying to get rid of all the political asylum applications and applications sent from countries which are red listed (mostly african, asian, south american) first. sounds pretty racist eh? well, now it's been announced that there will be police profiling for all suspected "illegal" immigrants. a policeman can just stop you in a mall if you're shopping and keeping to yourself but if you're essentially coloured skin (those are the people they have been stopping over) you'll have to go with them and get your papers checked. funnily enough, most of the illegal immigrants come from a country which is neighbouring this one and the people can blend in pretty well. in fact, some people have done a little "study" to see who got checked, it was mainly those of african decent and no white people got stopped.
but, this country's baby boomer generation are starting to all retire now and there are hardly any of the young generation to fill their spots when it comes to keeping this country afloat. so, it's been decided by the government that they'll be doing a massive brain trade with certain countries and by the year 2015 there will be an estimated amount of 15,000 new immigrants with higher education and the professional knowledge in certain job positions which are in dire need of being filled. though yes, they're now starting to be open about immigration, it's only open to certain countries. this in itself can sound very racist but i think, after this country has been a silent observer of the immigration situation in the rest of Europe for many years, it might be a good idea in the long run.
the countries which are on the approved list for being able to immigrate here have "good track records" when it comes to immigrating to western countries in general - immigrants from these countries are able to assimilate well into different cultural surroundings, work hard and don't often recourse to public benefits. this is a big problem here as with other countries, that people generalize immigrants as being lazy and taking advantage of social benefits meant for people who have worked hard their whole lives.
so, once these immigrants start coming in, the first generation of immigrants will of course feel the pains of having to live in a new country, getting used to a difficult language, etc. but, i think for the 2nd generation...there won't be so much difficulty for them to be already assimilated and in turn, won't feel the same negative effects as those 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants in mainland europe are going through at the moment.
