Marijuana plantation discovered in Gold Coast raid

A hydroponic cannabis plantation has been discovered during a raid on the Gold Coast, police say.

The plantation was allegedly found at a Mermaid Waters address during an early morning search yesterday.

A 39 year old man has been arrested over the discovery, and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on April 7 charged with producing and possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a utensil.

Two other men have also been charged as a result of two other raids.

Police searched a Tallebudgera home and allegedly discovered more than 200 cannabis plants during the search.

A 60 year old man has been ordered to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on April 18 for possession and production of a dangerous drug.

A 25 year old Palm Beach man has also been ordered to appear in court on the same charge after officers allegedly discovered a drug implement and a quantity of cannabis during a raid on a Nineteenth Avenue home.
