Problamatic g2g transfer --
    #8165411 -

I did a 4th gen g2g from a quart of wbs into 12 pints.

It's been nearly 12 days and I've noticed that the colonization has halted and there are about 5-8% of seed on the top part of the jar that seems to be uncolonized and dried out. (mostly my fault for using tyvek only lids with tape to block 90% of filter, I wanted to see if it'd work, now I know lol)

These seeds are loose as they roll around freely when I tilt the jar and they sound like bb's.. they might be fully dehydrated I believe.

My question is, would it be alright to open the jar, dump that layer of dried wbs off and use the spawn?

Thanks in advance.

yeah just get rid of any uncolonized portion before you case it and you'll be fine

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
