Honey and Karo

I know that when using agar you should change up the type of agar when transfering mycelium (you know what I mean, but I don't know how to explain it ). Anyway a friend of mine got some good EQ mycelium growing in honey h2o and it colonized his birdseed so well that he wanted to innoc more liquid with the mycelium already growing to spread it out more. Should he use karo instead of honey so the myc doesn't get used to the honey? I hope this is not advanced cult. If so, I apologize

I like Karo better than honey anyway, so I would say do it!

Senescence shouldn't become a problem at this stage. If he still has any colonised birdseed then he should stick a few spoonfuls in a jar with some water, shake it and suck the water into syringes instead of bothering with more liquid culturing..
