Rule #1: Don't assume your rights will be respected.

Anyone saying just know your right ands don't get pulled over probably hasn't been in that situation.

Heres how it works. If they pull you over and think just from looking at you and your friends have pot, they will throw your asses out on the concrete and tear your car apart until they find it. Then your the criminal.

Cops don't always think they need a reason to pull you over.

I got pulled over for being "left of center" on a road with no center lines. I was high as shit admittedly, but I drive impeccably when stoned. The two other people in the car were paying attention and said afterwards that I was driving perfectly fine. He had me do sobriety tests for damn near an hour, all of which I was doing fine on, and called in two extra cars, one a k-9 unit. I always maintained the attitude that I wasn't doing anything wrong, but they couldn't search my car. They brought the dog around and somehow he didn't smell the pot (we had been smoking RIGHT before we got pulled over). They asked again if they could search, I told them no one more time, and then they let me leave. Scariest shit evar.

carry an airtight (mason/canning) jar. have piece and stinky buds in separate plastic bags in the jar.

keep everything well concealed in the trunk.

don't be smoking while driving. everyone knows, despite not being very responsible or legal, road tripping while high is great. but don't toke and drive at the same time.


yea, depending on where you are in the south they do have dogs, but if you take these precautions, the dogs won't have shit on you

never happened to me in 30 years of smoking, I've had
them find weed, as much as an ounce and they've ignored
it because of my sweet disposition, it's really funny
when the weed is next to a pipe and a pistol and all they
want is the small bud and the pipe and they cut you lose

We got fucked with in Texas
because two people in the car from New York went to 'observe' some police action on a homeless man.

This when we had a fucking party on wheels in the car. Bongs, bags, 40's, guitars, hand drums, the whole shebang!

The police pulled us over for failing to yeild
...to them, which was honestly bullshit...
THEN walked up to the back window where the 'observers' were at...
asked for the girls ID and she said, and I quote,
"Show me your ID!" which was like a punch in the gut for everyone in the car.

I didnt say I was never caught with weed, I said I was
never charged, been caught several times, had a half
pound under my bed and 3 cops looking the place over, had
an ounce on my desk and a cop staring right at it, had 3
plants in a utility closet and the cops were serving a
warrant, my scale was setting out and one said "where's
the weed", I opened my desk drawer, pulled out the little
bud, he spotted the pipe as I was closing the drawer and
said 'what's that', I opened it, reached for the pipe
that was laying right next to my pistol, handed him the
pipe and all was good

the cop did say he was going to have to arrest me, when
he and his buddies were leaving, they forgot to take me
so I reminded them... they debated it for a few minutes
and said they didnt want to fool with it

this is what i used to think. a year or 2 back, on a road trip to BC, we got stopped at the border and found 6 hits of L and like a gram of weed. they wouldnt let us in the country and charged us a big fine. but, eh, coulda been worse.

in my personal experience, a cop can do anything he wants. Only afterwards can you defend your rights.

I wouldn't be worried about an 8th of weed. You could always eat it very quickly. Also, know the laws in the states you're in. If it's a misdemenor amount (8th should be) then they will probablly just write you a ticket, unless you get a dickhead cop.

check out my thread, I just got fucked last saturday by a tennessee county boy. detained for 45 minutes after given a warning ticket until a dog showed up and signalled I had contraband.
