I too am named john, but due to my lack of myco-knowledge, mushroom john wouldn't fit.i live on vancouver island, more south on the west coast of the large island, and am right near the washington border. it is snowing and raining right now. Are there any surviving psychedelic mushrooms? i found no luck this year with my cyan. searching, probably cause i knew not where to look, but liberty caps were harvested in high amounts, What other mushrooms grow around here, if you are without time to respond, then please try to tackle my first question.

Cool, another Canadian out there. I don't think there any P. Cyans left this time of year, but I'll leave that up to MJ to answer.
Check-out my site at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Atlantis/3256/bc.htm

Hey liberated, nice to see,not just another Canadian, but another BC er! Nothing would be growing now,man we got lots of snow right now.But actually Mj is still finding Cyans, but he's in Seatle.

So you get lots of libs too eh,you can find Cyans, Stuntzis,if you have a microscope and you have knowledge of distinguishing shrooms microscopically then you would probably find some subfimetarias and strictipes. You can find Baeocystis, pelliculosas, and maybe strictipes.I have heard one of our fellow Shroomery members actually finds Azures on the island.

Get yourself a book, it will be the most help.Mj's mushrooms of the pacific northwest is a great guide and it is really cheap, only 12 bucks.Or you can go out and spend major on Stamets book,I got from hemp BC, but it costed 50 bucks!!

Hi Liberated.

Well it is over for B.C.

I found 16 two days ago, little ones. They came up about 1 inch in heighth and then the caps turned solid blue from the cold and they just maintained the same atatued for a few days berfore I came apon them.

Now the Panaeolus subbalteatus will start growing within the next six weeks..

They are common in haystacks and/or rotting hay. They have nbands of colors on the caps similar in appearance to Panaeolina foenisecii.

Check my web-site at:mjshroomer.yage.net

Oh sorry, check spiritplants.yack.org

Look under mushroom identification and go back one year.

It doesnt go back that far but I have posted over one hudred images of about twent-five varietiues and 18 from the Pacific Northwest. or you can order my book at my site.

Mj

Yeah for real. That post is 2 years old... you'd be lucky if half the people involved with it are still around.
