Pint or half pint jars

If i can only get my hands on pint jars do they work just as well as half-pint? im sure it take a considerable amount of time more to colonize though...Any suggestions?

They work just as well as half pints. Just fill them up half way. There better when it comes to shaking, as you have more room.

if you're using pf tek/mmgg, you could make an extra large vermiculite layer on top.
