Are you growing in a yard, from earth? or from pots?
You can till some compost in your soil if you want, but if you haven't ever used the land, and the soil is decent, you might not need to do anything to enjoy good yields.
If your soil is filled with lots of clay, you can lighten it will a ammendment of some sort, but potting soil is kind of expensive.
Some people do till some soil within their base starting soil, but I don't think it's entirely necessary, at first.
It truly has to do with your starting soil - in short.
You can use mix a little soap with water to spray on for pesticides but in my experience peppers don't invite many pests.
Plants really grow themselves. Water them regularly when the sun starts getting hotter than shit. That's another thing, Check the web for your specific "planting zone" - as a lot of plants cannot tolerate the chill of the evening.
Check the web for gardening sites. Information truly abounds on this topic.
Good luck to you - you made a good investment.

for the squash and zucchini
when u water them dont get the leafs wet, they mildew (white powder on the leafs) easily. this will greatly decrease your yield as the leafs die losing valuable stored amounts of nutrients with them.
they like to be planted below corn, or with nasturtiums, but alone is fine, and luckily they arent a picky family of plants and enjoy the company of just about whatever u plant them with. nothing with keep them from growing except fennel i believe.
peppers im not sure what their companions are, nor their antagonists. they will probably do good with squash but i would try to keep them separate if possible.
squash will grow large and fast in even poor thick soils, but capsicum family requires some root space, and a decent amount of nutrients.
a good thing to use for nutrients if u cant afford 20$ bottles of nutrients, is blackstrap molasses, usually about 17$ cheaper than most nutrients and have many miconutrients that many expensive nutrients dont have. check my journal for info on molasses, theres a thread on feeding plants in there.

Bell peppers are really easy to grow, little care is needed, they don't like a hot climate tho & tend to rot on the stem even before ripe if it is too hot.
Yellow squash and green zucchini are vine plants, they need alot of water as the get going & you will want the plant to grow out of a small mound so that water doesn't puddle around the stem & rot it.
For organic growing you can use manure, fish emulishion, bat guano, sea weed flakes, worm tea or castings. Alot of stuff is available at a good garden store or at a website like "worms way" for organic fertilizer.

those are some great tips. I'm going to have to buy a separate plant container to grow these in, how deep do you reccomend it be?

I hope you are in a warm climate. Neither of those plants will survive a frost.
Squash are pretty easy to grow. Try to give this stuff a good bit of room. My squash plants last year were over 4 feet across. They weren't what I would call a vine though. I don't know if I would recommend growing them in a 5 gal bucket. They were more like small bushes.
On a side note, squash blossoms are edible too!

I planted them last night, got some green squash babies, and some bell pepper and yellow squash seeds seeds. I got organic soil and sprinkled some seeds in that. Now its raining and i left it all outside. I'll let nature take its course.

I prefer plants when dealing with peppers. They can take forever whereas squash and cukes are fine to grow from seed. Good luck!

Some peppers (mostly hot?) can be overwintered.
Some plants don't like to be transplanted.
Harvesting tip for the squash
Harvest young, it about 6-8 inches or at one inch with the flower on it (bread it very little and fry it). Every other day when plant is producing heavily.
