How to get cake out of Fucking jar!!
    #797766 -

HOLY SH()*^^%(*^%

Is there a trick to this or what???

I've got BRF cakes in 1/2 pint jars, i remove the ring, remove the dry verm.. and put ring back on , slam jar on table, and the cake moves about 1/2 inch to mouth of jar but won't come out easily.... i've managed but jesus...

Just now i think i'll remove the ring, verm.. place ring back on and slam.. remove ring and place clean baggie over mouth and swing jar to remove cake... hmmm.. never thought of this before.. might work... AHHH Unless someone here can suggest a better way!!

Oh, i don't think my jars are too wet, they come out pretty lightweight...!

(( Had a problem last night the cake went flying thru the room, down the stairs and to the floor,, not very clean i might add. i rinsed it off under the tap but am thinking that this might not be a good thing???? ))

OR you can throw the jar as hard as you can at the wall, breaking the jar, and then just picking up the cake out of the debris. That could work too. Just playin with ya, dude. I just tap the jar until the mother plops out always works

I used to have that problem. I solved it by letting my jars sit for about a week after full colonization. The cakes "tighten" allowing for easy removal.

yup, let them sit for little bit, it will help your mycellium network get stronger too...

Also, just tap on the sides and it should help get them out. Tapping on the top when the cake doesn't wanna come out just makes the cake go back into the jar....

The 69 boys are correct. Always wait until full colonization.

Cool

Thanks.. I'll let them sit.. they have been injected on june 20 so that is about a month and a half..

I'm going to case the rest of my jars instead of fruiting as is,,, my humidity is 100 % in my terranium so if my current cakes have not fruited by then they are getting cased too.. this way i can lower the RH to 85 or so , as per some research...

Hey, that cake that went flying,, i rinsed it under the tap under normal running water and left it in a baggie.. can i open the baggie up and leave the cake sideways in the terranium? with the baggie as a plate? I suppose so, but if anyone has input.

thx.

Why leave the cake in the bag? Just remove it from the bag and stick it in your fruiting chamber. If you would like, you may rest the cake on the bag, but I do not recommend leaving the cake in the bag. If you want the cake laying on its side, I don't see any issues with that.

Peace

Awsome..

I was just concerned about contams and all, if it's in the bag, at first sign of problems i pick it up and burry it in my back yard... heh heh.. i hope my dog does not dig it up!!

Can a cake be shocked or does this not matter..? it got squished on a corner pretty bad.. that cake got a hell of a tip!! ha ha Trip.. he he he... whew... i need a joint....
