Mushroom Tea

Just having a few questions before I do this. I have about a dried 1/8 of mushrooms. I am planning on just relaxing tonight and watching a DVD. I know I make the tea and then add diced up mushrooms. Just one question.

Does this make it more intense? I also have some good amount of MAOI's and I think I'll take that now if I am going to be dosing in a few hours. Thanks for reading over this.

Dicing up the shrooms will make it easier to relase more active substance for your tea... So, should maybe perk up the trip a notch.. . Have fun

well if you make the tea to hot it can kill the psilocybin and make your shrooms much more weak. I would just eat them as they are and maybe drink a tall cup of OJ!

Hrmmm... Warm Tea is perfect for the Mushrooms. I'm not worried about the mushrooms intense heat can only hurt them and that's if they are left in the heat for a while. I just want to see if trip harder with the tea...

Take MAOI's...

Dice up Dried Mushrooms...

Heat up Zen Tea...

Smoke Bud...

I tried making a tea with some dried wild cubes last friday. I did the recipe where you simmer up some water, about to boil, then drop in the mushrooms and let them soak for 10-15 min. I had put 11 grams in there and drank it all but I barely tripped at all. I had the same expierence before when I tried it another time with dry shrooms. I have only made good tea out of fresh cubes. I dont know why, but I dont eat the nasty mush thats left over too. Let me know if yours turns out good or not.

Tea is so easy. I don't understand how people could mess it up.

The dried mushies should be chopped finely. Use a coffee filter or similar straining out the material after its been in the water for maybe 10 mins (no need to eat it either). I use hot, but not boiling water. Something acidic in the water helps the extraction and makes it taste better anyway (eg citrus juice). Real tea leaves can be used in addition if desired.

yes, effects come on faster and with more intensity. ~5hr duration depending on dosage. Best to sip over 20 min time period.

Or try making the hot tea first and then adding it to ice and some juice concentrate for a psychedelic summer beverage. Just don't leave it in the fridge for the unsuspecting to drink it.

Does it really make that much of a difference? Like, if i did the tea thing with 5 grams of dried potent shrooms...would it be VERY intense most likely?

Milkdrop is the best plugin for winamp in my opinion, that is if you have a fast computer with a decent graphics card.
Heat can destroy the psilocybin....but it takes time for it to break down. So steeping it in hot water wont hurt it very much, unless you keep it really hot for a period of time, like longer than 10 or 15 minutes.

i took some advice and finally downloaded that 'milkdrop'. it's pretty insane. i like it! along with 'acidspunk'...that one is pretty cool too. I only watched them for like 1 min each though. i'm DEFINETELY going to look at them while listening to some pink floyd this sunday(of course...doing shrooms).

When making tea, my friend's and i place the shrooms in a pot and fill with water just so it covers the shrooms about a half inch to an inch. Then we boil them for about 20-30 mins. Once they are ready, we strain out the juice and mix with tea mix (raspberry is one of the best). We have never experienced any loss in potency due to heat, and it kicks in very quickly.. after about 5-10 mins we are almost nearly tripping balls. The trip is of a shorter duration then eating them, but it is more intense and quite beautiful.
