washington state shroomerites

a friend & i want to go on a roadtrip from san diego
up to washington. want to know of any points of interest
along the 5 fwy. as well as, im looking for prime scenic spots to take pictures.
waterfalls, forests, mushrooms, i want it all :wink:

going up 5 california is the most scenic part of the trip,
oregon up 5 is pretty darn boring,
it gets better on 5 by the time you near seattle
that is what i think at least

i have only drove up that state one time, so it was new to me

try driving from vancouver washington to sarasota florida sometime by yourself while you are sick and tell me if that is any more boring

You can drive faster to New York from Seattle than you can from LA to Seattle... or at least that's what it feels like on I-5.

i have drove through almost every state in the country

I 5 is not all too bad.

i am not a huge fan of the willamette valley drive on I-5 though. i commuted from eguene to seattle a few times, it is alright i guess, but every single time i made it to portland i ran into hours of traffic it seemed. after that it is a good drive, as long as a person gets to where they want to go

oregon 101 is awesome, also along the 5 there are tons of hot springs and whatnot.

the 1 is pretty gnarly, not for the light hearted :P

might be out of your way but if you make it to seattle you should keep on truckin up to Bellingham. Right out side of that town there are some bat caves. Really really wicked spot. Take a head lamp and have fun. Dose up if you're feeling adventurous.
