Check out my new badass pet

Today I went to the mall and found a cool pet shop to pickup a heat mat for my future snake. When I was shopping around, the clerk came over to help, I noticed he was wearing a shirt with a man in between two women that said "Three way". I knew this guy was a good, funny character and he was quite helpful and knowledgeable.

Long story short we talked for a bit and I told him I was looking to buy a snake and he told me he could hook me up on that day. I didn't have a licence, and wasn't planning on getting one (you pay $60 for a piece of paper, no qualifications necessary) so I was very happy.
I asked what snakes he had, he said he could get Diamonds, Kings, Corns, anything really because he breeds them himself. Well he told me Corn snakes were ideal handling pets and perfect for beginners so I couldn't resist it, even though they are not native to Australia and are illegal. He gave me his number and asked to call in a couple of hours so he could organise the snake.
I went back to the market a bit later on and met him in the car park. He was holding a cardboard box with a little container inside. Inside the container was a very small, colourful snake. I was surprised by its colour as he told me it was a dullish brown colour but as it would grow its true colours would be exposed. The snake was half cross albino which made it even more unique. (pics below).
I paid $200 for it, which is a very reasonable price. It was a healthy and very active snake, which had fed twice already since its 1 week of birth!
I loaded it into my car and went home. I transferred it into a bigger container and got some sterile twigs and made a cool little environment for it. It loves to climb and slide around its new home.
Tomorrow I'm going back out to the shop to pickup some frozen baby mice! I can't wait to start feeding it I think it will be so exciting.
Also, if anyone would like to help I need some suggestions for a name. It likes to wind itself up and quickly charge at various objects, so I was thinking names like Striker or Charger... hehe.
Anyway here are some pics I got of it.

cliffs: Met an exotic snake dealer Bought a Corn snake Took it home Need a name for it
I know there aren't too many twigs its new container yet. But tomorrow is a new day and I will be pimpin' out his room.
** sorry about the shit pics, I didnt wanna take the lid of incase it out out!

At its size it eats baby mice that have no hair yet (they're called pinkies in the herpetological world). I can't wait to see how this tiny thing is gonna eat a small mouse. They feed once a week.

I want a 20-foot boa constrictor, but I don't have any room in my place to keep him. Besides, it may cause my cats to be nervous, I dunno.

You damn well better be nervous yourself about handling a 20ft Boa Constrictor. There are lots of stories of snakekeepers strangled to death by their own pet.
Worst in this regard are Anacondas, they are the grizzly bears of snakes as to raw strength.

It would remain in the glass aquarium, not roam around the place unsupervised. I don't need it trying to squeeze objects at random, like a jar of peanut butter.

Be sure to post a video of its first feeding. So you start of with pinkies and work up as they get bigger, right? I used to have a corn snake awhile ago. One of my dads friends is a herpetologist, he sent it to me through the mail.

Hehe I will do, I'll be documenting all the stages of my snakes life from his first shedding to moving in a new house (aka. enclosure).
He's helpin' me with my loneliness during these days where I am bed ridden

Only if the feedings involve vegetation. I don't like seeing live animals killed in any situation.

Ofcourse, you buy the mice dead and frozen. In fact I'm quite sure it's even illegal here to feed them live mice..
Fuck our laws are stupid.

It's pretty cool to watch, man. You're missing out. First the corn snake will constrict the dead mouse, then it will unhinge its jaws, and swallow it head first. Corn snakes are carnivores, they don't actually eat corn.

If they did I would own one.
I like the idea of egg-eating snakes. Instead of feeding it rodents you can take an egg from the fridge, warm it in your hands and then watch a thumb-thick snake shove an entire egg up its gullet. Cheap and no-kill!

Maybe you could feed it fake rodents made from soy.

Only native snakes are allowed in Australia, which sucks because Australia's natives are quite ugly and tempermental.
