Hello all...
well u can visit http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Pictures&Number=791918&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 where u can c pictures of my experimental terrarium, the problem it created [WEIRD CRACKED SHROOMIEZ!] and how i solved it...
with my construction i manage to make a real habitarium for my shroomiez, lowering temp from >35 C to a range from 24 to 26 C and at the same time raising the humidity from <60 RH to a range from 88 to 93 RH. COOL! the only thing needed is to take care every 8 hours to put some water in the bowl if needed...
ANY COMMENTS WILL BE APPRECIATED!
PEACE

I've got to give credit where credit is due. Kykeon, you are quite the innovator! That is one of the most thouhgtful and well constructed adaptions of cool mist humidification I've seen!!!!
WELL DONE!! ?Congratulations!! ?Ingenious!! *TM claps his hands*
I can't wait to see what you come up with for warmth in the winter

Thanx Moe!!
Yeah, i did the smokey test with a lit joint the problem was that the air was TOO strong for my shroomies and this resulted to its weird alterations, i suppose...

Thanx TM!!!!! Dont worry, when its winter, i will come back with something else! lol
well a BIG THANK must go to my father, whom help was extremely valuable! THANX DAD!!
TM, i am now working on my new construction, a big terrarium with the same fan+radiator but a different way of throwing the air inside it. it will go like a fountain... THE IDEA IS TO CREATE AN ARTIFICIAL PLACE WHICH WILL TRY TO SIMULATE THE NATURE'S WAY OF HUMIDITY DROP... LIKE THE WAY MOISTURE IS "FALLING" TO EARTH AT NIGHTS!
When i will have photos and results of my experiment, i will definately upload them.
Thanx once more my friend!!

What are you running the fans off of? Just cuz you mentioned your car battery was tough. If you want, you can get an adapter that matches the specs. of the fan, cut the end off, and splice with the fan wires, and then you cna run your fan from a wall plug! Radioshack has ones thatll fit the specs no prob.

I am using a BOSCH KL 1204 car battery charger, which i happened to have and converts 220 V to 12 V. It is different from an adapter, because it is meant to charge batteries, hence be quite powerful (25 A output while the fan needs 110 mA). That means it can work hours and hours and hours without being concerned!
