Alright I finally got off my ass and did some recording, I gotta warn you, I haven't been practicing enough and it don't sound pretty technically or recording-wise. And sorry about all the dead air at the beginning. Unfortunately audio hijacker that I used with garage band wouldn't let me record into wav format either.

No problem, they're recorded with a metronome at 120bps, if that helps.  If your looking for anything specific let me know since I got the big bass and fishman pickup finally hooked up and here at my place.  Since I'm using garage band it would be easy enough to make loops too, if I can just get my fuckin' intonation and rhythm back up to par.

120 beats per second :O :runaway: hehe, there's some low freq feedback it sounds like, maybe its just how im listening to it, ill setup things differently and see if I still here it. How did you record it?

defintely some feedback, it sucks too cause thats some sweet strumming. Can you hear that on your side? :frown: Maybe I can cut that frequency out.

Lol, I suck at recording, I have a fishman bass pick up like this.
http://www.elderly.com/new_instruments/items/FFCBP.htm
Then I ran it through my amp and then into my computer through kind of shitty cord, I'll try some different settings tonight after work. I haven't worked with this stuff much since college, but now that everything's finally set up it'll be a little easier to monkey with.
edit:
wait this is actually the pickup I use http://www.soundexchange2.com/ProductImages/soundexchange2_1758_14855895.gif

So I woke up early this morning and was going to do some recording.  I had a ridiculous idea, a version of billy jean done all on upright bass, I was ready to do 'er up too, and then after fiddling with the pickup I found that it's half broke.:(  One of the two pizzo-electric sensor dillios on the thing is broke, wich would explain why I was getting a very unbalanced sound on the other recordings I was trying to do.
However, this might be just the excuse I need to by the fishman full circle bomb-diggity uber pickup.:awesome:

I'm thinking the feed back was probably because the sensor dillio on the lower strings was the only one working, therefore in order to hear the higher strings I probably tried to balance out the volume by adjusting the treble and bass on the amp, thus causing a massive cluster fuck because the low ended up getting to much representation.

Anyways, it should be a non issue in about a week and a half, the fishman 'all around' bass pickups are supposed to be all but feed back proof.  Either way I just found a reason to buy a toy I've been meaning to get for a while now.  Even just running some scales with the bow today is making my intonation suck a little less, I think I might dive into this again.
