TOO true. I mean there are sonogs that I like off of 10000 days, but the entire album as a whole does/did not impact me like Lateralus. Aenima, or Undertow have.

But yea I hate people who could tell you they like a new album before they even hear it lol.

By your definition there, that would be pretentious. It could be argued that they're doing it for the art, but then again, I do art without plastering my logo all over shirts and merchandise.

Essentially saying that they are what you need to become enlightened. Sounds fairly pretentious to me... or using your definition, like they are "making claim to or creating an appearance of (often undeserved) importance or distinction..."

Dude, I'm not saying that they suck or anything, I just think that the band members and a good deal of their fans really are snobby about Tool.
