Torrent Question

I have Utorrent which always automatically detects and picks up the torrents i want to download. But whenever i have my Limewire Pro open it handles my torrents. Under the settings for limewire it is clearly marked that i do not want limewire handling my torrents. And under Utorrent its clearly marked to handle all torrents. This only happenes after i have opened limewire. Before i open it for the first time when my computer turns on it will not interfere. But once opened, even after exiting the program out and ending it, it will reopen itself and take care of torrents im trying to download. Anyone know what i should do. GETTING RID OF EITHER LIMEWIRE PRO OR UTORRENT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION.

can't you close limewhere when utorrnet is open. What's wrong with limwire pro doin it?

also downgrade to regular limewire

I do close limewire but it just reopens itself when i download a torrent. I dont like to use limewire for my movies and games because in my experiences they contain far more viruses and take 2-3 times longer to download. not bad for a movie taking an hour but sometimes i DL huge files taking almost a week. SO, I know i can do it i have been i just dont feel like shutting my computer down every time just because i want to hear a song....ya know.

I would just toss Limewire and set up eMule instead.
You get a much better selection and far fewer viruses.

not to call you out as a noob. but are you sure limewire is closed and not open in the systm tray. Right click on the icon and close it from there.

No it is completely exited out and shut down. Right now I'm jus Saying them and manually opening them with Utorrent. My computer stays on but i have XP so i can jus log off and get back on and it will be fine. Still though just trying to find a simple solution to a inconvenience of a problem
