How about a fine screening over a wooden frame?

Not too stealthy, but functional. (at least for flying insects, anyway)

~Sprinkle cyanne(sp?) pepper around the general area....as close as you can to the mushrooms without actually on them.

This will keep rabbits and other critters away as well

I'm done with drugs and growing mushrooms forever, or at least until the current drug laws change, its not worth the risk to me. Thank you for your information that you have provided me shroomery, but I will not be using it. Thanks Moe for deleting my posts, Good bye all, and have great lives. -merk227

i dont know about this but you could try a very diluted cycanne pepper water mix in like a mister and just lightly spray the shrooms outdoors

Beer

Ppl dig holes in the ground and put a cup of beer.
The yuckies are attracted to the beer and drown in it.

Yes. I have heard of putting beer in a tin can and sinking it in a hole so that the bugs fall in and drown. Other people have suggested pieces of cantalope nearby that you periodically pick up (with all the bugs on it) and dunk in soapy water to kill them. Supposedly they'll be more attracted to the cantalope than the mycellium.

All my outdoor efforts have been pretty thwarted by pillbugs.
