Bug Bomb for Gnats?

Let's say someone was growing some fungi and there was a bad case of gnats. Would a bug bomb make the goods inedible? Because of the poison that is.

Are your sticky strips just for gnats or does it have that smelly fly attractant?

it says its for gnats and flies, and it has no smelly stuff. i think the smelly ones would work better, but these were all they had at the store.
so far theyve worked pretty well.

I still wonder if a bug bomb went off, if it would work its way through the casing to the myc and into the fruit. I'm sure whatever lands on a fruit is going to stick to it. But would that amount poison the consumer? Or would it be any more poison than your typical person gets every day? I guess the bug bomb company would know.

Unless u could seal what ever your fruiting in 100% for like 2 days i wouldnt try, thats what kills the bugs a microscopic enhalient and residue. The point of bombing it trying to choke the bug out, so no matter where they are they will die. Shouldnt be a big problem for only 2 days but some bombs take longer to clear??

the sticky strips only deal with the adults. the babies are your problem they eat up the mycelium and roots of plants. You need gnatrol to kill them effectively without damaging your crop.

i have a portabella kit i bought and the instructions said that if you see knats you can brush some cooking oil around the sides of the kit just above the casing and it will also trap them like sticky strips.
works in a pinch. i saw a nat on my casing layer. tryed that and havent seen any thing else since then. hope this helps

Ya, that zapper runs on 110v wall plug in. It's good preventative, as well as effective executioner. If you get a swarm. Look around thrift stores for them. Often found for under $5.

I found an Italian bug sucker, the insectivoro, at a thrift store. It has a fan and two little black lights. Bugs are attracted to the light and get sucked into the cage.
Its good for rolling parties with the black light. That's about it.
