Sterilizin grain PC style.......

The only PC my friend has access to right no without buying one, does not have a pressure guage. How should I know if the right pressure is in it. I think if he boils the water adds jars of millet and covers, that one hour would do it. Anyone have an idea, or should I get a PC with a guage?

The vast majority of PC's don't have a pressure gauge. It just makes it easier to judge when the cooker's up to 15psi. If your cooker doesn't have a gauge, you know it's reached 15psi when there's steam hissing past the rocker.

This isn't 100% true. Some PC only reach 10psi. Like stated above if you have a vent weight with 5,10,15 psi you choose the 15 and then your statement is correct (reached 15psi when there's steam hissing past the rocker). OR if you have an automatic one. The 10 psi PC is usually the small sizes, not the 17 or 22 quart ones. I hope this helps.
