Secondly I have a problem: a week ago two mushroom started to grow, but at the second day of growing they stopped, and I have a very little mushroom during 7 or 8 days. They don?t grow, why?. I?ve to say that I had a problem of contamination in the same terrarium, but i toke over the contaminated breads and i cleant the terrarium very well. The bread of the problem doesn?t looks contaminated. Why doesn?t my mushroom grow?
Thanks to all, and please use simple words.

This is my terrarium. I don?t need to spray because with the water heater I have enough humidity. I ventilate the terrarium two or three times at day. The temperature is 30 degrees. They are CAMBODYANS (Camboya)
.
Thanks

Uhh 30 degrees(im assuming celcius) is bad, thats 86 F which is incubation temperature. Lower the temperature down to 23-26 C and it may help!
Good luck Fd

Hi another time Firstly the substrate is made with the PF technique with brown rice?s flour and vermiculite. Secondly, if I low the temperature, I low the humidity too, so I do?t know how can I low the temperature without low the humidity. Thirdly, I think that camboya mushrooms grow on high temperatures over 30 degrees. And finally I have and idea. What do you think if I pull up the little mushrooms and I spary over the bread? (the bread seems some dry). ?Can I spray over the micelium if there isn?t mushrooms?. Thanks another time, and I?d like to say that this is the best forum than I have found. Greeting from Spain. PD: Is my English so bad? I think that it isn?t so bad. Bye

"Thirdly, I think that camboya mushrooms grow on high temperatures over 30 degrees."
Nope! All strains of p. cubensis grow at the same temperature, didnt you read the teks? Any higher that 30 C and your mushrooms will begin to cry. Higher than 30C, like what? 35, thats 95 degrees F, that high and your mushrooms would want to die.
Trust people and the Tek's, lower your temperature. Fd

Thanks Fd. On Spanish manuals I have read that Camboyans Mushrooms grow on these temperatures. But I will low the temperature how you say. Now my question is: How can I low the temperature without low the humidity? In Spain is Summer now and sometimes there are 40 degrees, and if I open the terrarium more times I will lost a lot of humidity. Bye

Ahh thats the big problem, if your temperature it too high its very hard to lower it. If you have an air conditioner move your grow box near it. There arent many ways to lower the temperature.....
Good luck Fd

It seems that humidity is not a big deal with casings... Lower the temp, but esp. lower the humidity. Fan 6+ times a day. I do more than 6 times and don't spray at all and leave a hole (not covered) in my terraium. My temps are almost always between 27 and 29... and it grows very well, although mycelium covers my casing more than yours. Today, 12 day, I'm having ten pins, three of which are already 1.5-2 cm. high.
And lowering the temps doesn't lower rel. humidity, if I remember well... it's the opposite! But I may be wrong on this one
Just thoughts, LilMerlin.

I've been told casings should have lower humidity so fanning more often and lowering temps and humidity should help.

Fanning 6+ times a day is not good. Lower humidity does matter. Just because its a casing doesnt mean it doesnt have specific requirements for optimal growth. For pinning 95% - 100% rH (humidity) is needed. After pinns form 85% - 92% rH is optimal.
Any lower than 80% rH is bad.
LilMerlin- What casing do you have? Substrate, # of cakes, casing layer, size etc.
