Does anyone buy and wear used clothing?

Do you sell some of your clothes?

I never considered buying used clothes before.

I got on the salvation army train in high school because that's what cool kids in high school did.

Don't buy used clothes unless they are actually nice and the chances of them being nice are about as slim as enjoying your grandmothers farts.

Sometimes I find some nice corduroys at used clothing stores, but I mostly buy new clothes now.

There was about a year where I was only buying clothes from used clothing stores and when I look back at the clothes I bought, the stuff really wasn't good quality.

I buy mostly new clothes but I have bought quit a bit of used clothes. The quality might not be as good but it is not that much of a difference. You can also find all kinds of cool things that new clothing stores don't have.

Theres always good quality stuff. A lot of times people barely wear stuff or don't wear it out. I find lots of good stuff, I don't know what ghetto thrift stores you guys have been shopping in.

The Salvation army is also a good place to buy wine, beer and other glass. If you chip one it isn't very much to replace it.

Thrift stores FTW.

There is a great one semi-close by that is huge and has alot of brand name stuff. You have to know how to shop in one. Look for winter stuff in the summer and vice versa.

I only buy specialty items new. Thrift stores have everything i could ever want at mad discount prices, and sometimes if somethings getting old you can just pull the ol' switcheroo with the same item but in better condition - free of charge.

Here's a list of things ive found at thrift stores in the past year or so:

- $400+ brand new Scarpa mountaineering boots ($14)
- Northface goretex jacket
- merrel hiking boots.
- I just got some like new, New balance waterproof xtrainer/hiking shoes.
- my gf just got a "build a molecule" set for $1.99.
- Levis, carharts, tough duck insulated overalls.
- 99cent nalgene bottles.
- real wool blankets and clothing.
- quality skateboard decks.
- Quality shower head..
- etc.

I am a bargin junkie, and always find the best deals. I HATE buying new clothes..

Have considered buying "vintage" stuff and starting an ebay business.

I bought my husband a heavy duty L.L. Bean overshirt for $1. Still looked brand new. Looked it up in the catalog and it listed for $45.

Not even a button missing.
