i buy most of my pants from AE or Express just cause they fit so well.

i have no problem paying a little more for something when i know they will fit well and last a long time.

I own some AE jeans and an AE sweater but I got them at goodwill for like $1-2.

Basically I need two separate wardrobes, one for work, and another casual wear.

I buy pretty much everywhere: online, thrift stores, discount stores (like Marshalls and TJ max) and regular department stores.  My latest find on ebay was a Ralph Laurne purple label button down.  They retail from $100-400 and I got it for $15.

One thing I have learned to do is basic sewing alterations.  I can shorten any pair of pants, and alter shirts by making them "slim fit".  Thus, within reason, I can buy any size pants from 32-34" and then shorten them, and wear all shirt sizes. 

Makes all my clothes look really good too, since all my garments are custom fitted.

I admire that you learned to do this sewing yourself.  Where I'm at, shortening a shirt (so you can wear it untucked) costs $15-18 and slimming it down is more like $25-30, although for that they'll undo the stitching half way up the arm so that it's not a slim-fit trunk with fat-ass arms.  When you do this alteration do you just open it up to the armpit, or do you go all the way to the elbow.

And congrats on the Lauren Purple Label -- that's a major find.  I've nabbed some great Boss shirts for $15-ish, but they're admittedly a notch or two below what you got.

H&M all the way, not as cheap as thrift stores but they have nice clothes for not a ton of money.

If you go to goodwill in or near upscale locations you can sometimes be amazed at what you'll find.

I live in a wealthier area and I found brand new Nike Jordans at goodwill with only a minor scuff on them for like 4 bucks.

this.  My only issue is my shoulders are freakishly broad (makes me look shorter than i am too).  My shoulders are wider than most people i know who are well into the mid 6 feet, and i'm fucking 5'8.  I have to mostly wear stretchy clothing because of this, otherwise they fucking hit my knes practically.  I went to gap, HM, and some other store with my girlfriend the other day, and she got frustrated because I couldn't wear most of the clothing she liked since my shoulders didn't work.  I typically try to put a shirt around my neck before I even bother putting it in my "to try on" pile since most won't make it over my shoulders or comfortably around my neck which is wide as well.

Oh well, it gives me a lot of my lifting power :shrug:
