i was speaking mostly in reference to the average Billy and Jane that reads seventeen and watches Mtv and whatnot, actually puts a lot of time and money into the latest fashion, etc etc

hell I'm known to wear a Suit if it fits the occasion without hesitation, but when it comes down to it i wear my standard workman's pants and jacket..they stand up to hours of welding everyday and still hold a nice crease, and have saved my genitalia from welding slag a few times.

Yeah, I agree with what you are saying. I am finally stepping out of bum mode and into some new threads. It's nice to wake up and have a decent selection of clothing to put on that doesn't make you look like the same kid you were in high school. Doesn't mean I don't still rock and 8 year old T-shirt and some loose jeans with a pair of worn running shoes on occasion but it's nice to be able to go to the bar with your friends and not look like a scrub.

I dress what most people would dub "gangsta".  But I don't limit myself to that.  I'm a mix of all styles, and I'm the only one I know who can pull off wearing a pair of south poles, a zeppelin shirt, a floyd hat, and a pair of sneaux shoes.

I try not to spend more than $50 on a pair of jeans, and if I do it's the only pair I'll buy.  I'm pretty poor so I find bargains where I can

I need to see this, I could use a good laugh.

I mix and match my clothes, taking bits and pieces from different types of "styles".

I keep a separate wardrobe for work since I have to we ar a shirt and tie. I also have a few suits for special occasions. As someone else said, your clothes contribute to your first impression so I spend a fair amount of time and money on my appearance.

for me, the best fitting pants that i have found are Billabong Jeans and Transnine Khakis...both of which are found at Pac Sun in the mall. I like that store for pants, but not really shirts.

Most of my shirts come in a bag from walmart. Black or Blue T-shirts 3 for 9 dollars or some shit.

I got a sweet grey hoodie from Target for 11 dollars, and i wear it all the time.

If i got any money from my parents for clothes (*curb bitterness towards rich kids*), i would probably shop at stores like Buckle, Puma, and Lucky. But holy shit are lucky brand clothes expensive.

Another good mall store for guy clothes is Express. They used to be called structure. It's like a young-professional store with prep clothes, etc. They have nice slim-fit dress shirts for us not-fat guys. But theyre like 50 bucks a pop.  :frown:

anyone know of a good place that sells leather pants?

My father asked me to go clothes shopping today... I said I wanted to sleep in.
He never asked me to go clothes shopping before :wtf:

Truth be told, I hate fashion, I the good looks, and I hate people who spend lots of money on it.

I dress well, I wear my face,. My face, and my hair ( slicked back) is all I need to look good.

Women( or even men) who shop often for clothes, sicken me,.
I wear clothes, that are over 50 years old.
Most of my attire is at least 5 years old...
Guess what? I still look fly, I still get girls.

Girls love the way I hold them tight and warm..

I get alot of cloths from Kohl's.You can save a lot of money in there by looking for the 60%+ off racks.Where I live there is a VF plant. My mother is a real good friend to women that works there. They have a employee store that has good deals on the VF bands.lee, polo, ect for like 75% off the SMRP.
I really don't like to dress up to impress people. Its just not me, unless for good reason, like death in the family ,etc.

I buy multi-pack Hanes shirts at Target and I have three pairs of blue Old Navy jeans. I won't have to go shopping for another three years.

I live in Redwood City, CA - (30m below SF)

There is a place called The Redwood Trading Post.

It's full of outdoor gear and my favorite: military surplus. The pants and sweatshirts are all BATTLETESTED and are especially comfortable.

You could probably find a military surplus store or an outdoorish style store that would have military surplus. GOOD STUFF.
