yes for mature cacti, u would get away with flouros for seedlings... probably get away with flouros for poppies but hps would be better...

From what I've understood you'd need more light for poppies than pretty much any other indoor grow. The ones I grew under HPS didn't really take off before I moved them outside.

I'd say growing poppies indoors is a waste. The yields will be awful and definitely not justify the electrical bill. Still, if one where to try it HPS or MH would be necessary.
