got some Lysol on my casing, am I okay?

Hey all, got some lysol on about 40% of my casing by accident, sprayed 4-5 feet away. -I was aiming for just the wall and was too lazy to take the tray out.

Says on the lysol bottle that it kills fungi.....so I think I just screwed up a tray and 6 weeks of waiting, but what do you guys think?

your fine... no worries.. after it evaps the leftovers are not gonna cause any issues.. the casing is mainly for humidity anyway...

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

i think the only thing you can do is wait.
obviously if they grow, you didn't spray them with lysol.

it hit spots of my mycelium...but I misted 5 seconds after my Lysol mistake to attempt to dilute it.....Even if it does kill it, it will only kill a part of it, right?

Yes, I am very aware...I just wanted input so I don't have to blindly wait/work so hard at maintaining FAE and humidity.

Do not use petroleum based products around your grow area, ie. Lysol.

A 10% bleach solution and wiping with isopropyl alcohol are much better alternatives.

Well, there's a good chance it'll cause a few mutations. Unless they start coming out with tentacles and threatening to swallow your soul, you should be ok.

Why not use petroleum? Because its flammable?

and, I thought chemicals that destroy fungi-destroy fungi, not mutate it. In any case- are mutated mushrooms edible? Ahh prolly not a good idea for any intense feelings of fear taking over thinking they might be poisonous during a trip. =P

I don't believe there is any evidence for Lysol causing mutations -- it is just rumor and hearsay at this point until experiments have been done proving/disproving it.
