hidden dreads
    #7829323 - 01/03/08 08:02 PM (16 years, 29 days ago)

does anyone have any photos of someone with hidden dreads? meaning the dreads are only in the back and underneath, closest to the neck?

my reasoning is that way if i'm around my parents, they could easily be hidden. and also because i don't want to dread my entire head, because i really enjoy my curls, but wouldn't mind dreading the underneath layer hairs.
but hell, it's hard to dread your own hair when you're dreading the back and can't see or can't reach/palmroll very well back there!

plus my sigoth doesn't approve of dreads, and this way he can't get too angry since it will just be a few and he won't see them all the time.

Here is various photos over the years of my hair do's;

I currently have... 1 really big long dread at the basse of my head - its actually 2 that turned into 1 and 1 has 4 tails and the other has but i tied them all together into a big dread ball, plus a couple little dreads, and medium long one. + a few new ones starting that are only about an inch long..

drullets and variations there-of, rock. Much more practically and more comfortable than a regular head of dreads.

- this ones not me.

im ultimately going for this again.

i guess they arnt hidden though? maybe i helped?

nah, drullet is a punk thing. Mainly crusty train hoppin kids. (who are argueably (sp?) ... a type of radical/extremist hippie or the answer to pacifist hippie types.

But yeah, i hear ya.. its good. Jobs dont really give you flack - you can pull it in the back, and look normal on top. Its nice having dreads to play with, and hair to slide your fingers through..

Once i've had a full head of dreads for awhile it gets uncomfortable. Cant go swimming/shower properlly, gets itchy, cant wear hats, stretch your toques, hair in the eyes... greasy face, etc.

I wear these all the time. You can tuck the dreads under the hat too...

win-win, and you look all reggae
