Play wit them a lot. twist rub ripp do what ever it takes to get them going just dont use wac or back combing.

They do stink its more from washing then not washing. When they get damp all that crap in em gunks up and molds up and smells like mildewy dog ass.

I guess im gonna go the whole neglect method. But I know when I don't wash my hair for like 3 days it itches like crazy and I get dandruff...

So I guess I won't be wearing dark shirts for awhile.

pleassssssssssse dont "make dreads" that makes me sick.. locking is a process that should not be rushed.. all you need to do is twist .. and have patience.. it is about storing energy so if you "make them" then your energy is going to be according

Yea i've decided against making them. Im going to do it naturally over time.

So I shouldnt be conditioning my hair and should probably change soaps? Or not use soap at all in my hair?

Im going to be going to the beach every chance I get now. All I do is just twist my hair and let it dread over time?

You can do synthetic dreads like me. I do it cuz I dont want to commit and I can take them out whenever I want, there hawt and look real and your head doesnt have to feel dirty, most people think its cheating though. Its fabulous IMO.

i'm glad you decided to go natural. you are gonna wash your hair aobut twice a week with some dr. bronner's soap or something that doesn't have conditioner or lauryl/laureth sulfate. dr bronner's hemp seed oil shampoo is pretty spectacular. After about a year of no combing you should have a complete set of locks.

I am so pissed I asked my work if I was allowed to have dreads and apparently It's against company policy... So i guess I'll just have to wait till next year when Im in college to start growing em out :frown:
