Damp-rid

Ok well I was in lowes about a hour ago getting some supplies so I can hook up my vicks cool mist humidifier. Well I was walking through the detergent isle looking for laundry detergent b/c I didnt feel like going to a grocery store after lowes so decided to just buy it there. Well as I was picking up some laundry detergent, I happened to glance down and right there sitting on the floor was damp-rid. Talk about piss me off. I have been looking everywhere for the past 3 months for a dessicant and it was right there the whole time. What really pisses me off is I asked the people for dri z air or dri z, or whatever it is called and they had no idea what I was askeing for. All I can say is if your having trouble finding a dessicant at lowes or home depot, make sure to ask for dri z air and DAMP RID. If I would have done this in the first place I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. Oh well, at least I finally found the shit. Anyways, I have about 9 grams of eq's that are pretty much cracker dry already. Some are still kind of damp but not much at all. I fan dried them for like 4 or 5 days like a month ago, so I was hoping to be able to take them tonight. Do you think putting them in a dessciant for about 5 hours will dry them all up cracker dry by tonight? I hopeing so b/c I just got me a coffee grinder and I want to test it out along with some capsuls I bought.

Yea but the point of getting the coffee grinder is to make capsuls. I cant stand eating them fresh or dry. They just dont go down right. The last couple of times I have tried it, I puke them right back up. I tried mixing them with oj and everything but still nothing. My last resort is these capsuls. They are pretty much cracker dry already but I have them in the dessicant anyways. I'll see if they get any drier or not, but no matter what they will be eatin or drank some how tonight.

anyone in search of damp rid: although the employees will usually tell you they don't have it or have never heard of it, walgreens always stocks it. the rite aid's here also carry it. just look in the section where they have house supplies and stuff, by the coat hangers. good luck -b

Or just buy the Fresh Step Crystals cat litter. It's 100% silica gel.

The Fresh Step Crystals is odorless. If by "empty capsules" you mean gel-caps, I find them at the local health food store.

Well the couple of hours that the eq's were in there, they dried up a lot. I was suprised that they were all cracker dry in only a couple of hours. I ground up 5 grams of eq's in my new coffee grinder and it took 20 capsuls to fill up all the powder. Just finished eating them all. I like this way a whole lot better. It took some time to prepare but I rather do this from now on instead of eating them. Cant wait to see how they work. Havent tripped in a couple of months.

Not sure where you can get empty caspuls from, but I went to walmart and bought some kind of dietary suppliment that was only like 2 bucks for 100 capsuls of that crap. I emptied out all of the stuff and now I have a bunch of empty capsuls. Took me like a hour and half to get all that crap out though. I wish I knew where to buy empty ones from but this will have to do.

I think lowes just started carrying damp-rid, so it wasn't there the whole time. I found capsuls as large as 00 and 000 from a health food store. The fresh step i saw was scented, so i didn't get it because of nasal allergied. watch out on the dry-rite, some of it is scented too.

Can I reuse this damp rid? If so how? I thought I remember reading something about how you put it in the oven or something like that. If not, no big deal, its only 3 bucks for a big carton of it.

no, you can't reuse them because the pellets dissolve after absorbing the moisture. you just keep refilling your container. silican gel can be recharged by placin in the oven, and apparently so can epson salt, although i've never tried any of those. was tempted to get the cat litter, but the one i saw was scented as well. oh well... -b
