stressed out over waiting
    #7793610 -

Just wanted to vent...

So I was unexpectedly accepted to this graduate school for videogame design in Texas. Classes start in two weeks. But due to some general ignorance on my part, and the general incompetence of their financial aid department, my student loans are still not arranged. Basically I had to pay off some minor credit delinquencies, but now I have to get those companies to fax letters to the loan company that say I'm paid off, and this all takes days of processing time, and then I have to wait for the loan companies to process the loan. And I feel like I'm jumping through hoops just trying to get the Stafford loan aside from that.. the financial aid office isn't telling me shit and the loan company is sending me broken links to follow, etc. etc.

So.. all this doesn't even really bother me that much. Either I get in the school now or I have to wait another six months. Big deal. But, earlier I arranged to move into a 2-bedroom with another incoming student, and he has already put all this money down on the security, and basically all this shit hit me just a couple days ago. So now, if I can't go, my roomate is fucked because he'll have to scramble for another place to live last minute, and might lose a bunch of money or something. That's what really bothers me, I can't stand the thought of someone else suffering because of my circumstances, even though it wouldn't be the end of the world for him.

But yea, I guess this isn't really a big deal in the scheme of things, but it really sucks to be stuck waiting for the outcome, waiting for paperwork to process that decides whether youll be able to do something youve been dreaming of for years, or not. I've been losing sleep over it... I keep telling myself it's not a big deal, but what the fuck, this will be a major life change for me if it happens... oh well, fuck it, I'll know in a few more days. I think I'm a determinist at heart anyways, too, and I already know fate has decided if I'm going or not so I just have to keep playing the game like usuall.

If you haven't gotten bored of this, thanks for reading. I would enjoy hearing anyone elses stressful experiences, preferably worse than my petty shit so it makes me feel better.

Well I hope everything works out for ya bud.]

Stressful situation? Hmmm how about finding out after you've told someone you were moving in...they're saving a room and are really looking forward to it, you're hit with credit fraud the day before so you can't move in AND you have to get all of your belongings out of the storage because you have no money? All you have now is your truck!

Yep that was me a few months ago lol.

The thing is though don't stress over it. What ever happens is going to happen. Just be positive about it and let the roomy know that this COULD happen and start looking around just in case. Yeah waiting does suck but like I said just try to be positive about it. Everything will work out
